Thoughtful, high-impact design tailored to your home — without the need for full renovation.

“Great design should feel personal, intentional, and effortlessly functional. I approach every project with a thoughtful eye — working with your home’s existing elements to create a space that feels cohesive, elevated, and uniquely yours.”

Residential Design

Whether you're refreshing a single room or reworking your entire home, I work closely with you to create spaces that reflect your style while improving flow and function. From color palettes to furnishings and finishing details, every element is selected with intention, resulting in a space that feels cohesive, curated, and a true reflection of you.

The Process

Every project begins with a design consultation. During this in-home session, we’ll walk through your space, discuss your goals, and define a clear direction for your project.

Services are offered in two ways:

Designer by Your Side

  • Hourly, collaborative approach

  • 10-hour minimum

  • Ongoing support and flexibility

Designer for a Day

  • Six-hour focused session

  • Fast, meaningful progress

  • Clear direction and decisions in a short amount of time.

Paint Consult

Finding the right paint color isn’t just about choosing a shade — it’s about understanding undertones.

I help you identify the subtle tones in your existing finishes — think flooring, countertops, cabinetry … even an art piece you love — so your paint selections feel cohesive, balanced, and intentional.

What to expect:

  • I assess your finishes under natural and artificial light to determine their dominant undertone.

  • I narrow options to neutrals that harmonize with those undertones, eliminating misleading chips.

  • I use large paint board samples so you can see how each option reacts in the room with different lighting.

  • I consider the room’s fixed elements (fixtures, trim, textiles) and your desired mood to recommend a final color selection.

Result: A paint palette that feels cohesive, timeless, and effortless — no guesswork, no overwhelm.

Virtual Mock Ups

I was brought in to help design multiple areas of a full home remodel, including the basement, stairway, kitchen, first-floor half bath, primary bath, and kids’ bath.

Through my Designer by Your Side service, I sourced flooring, plumbing fixtures, paint colors, lighting, kitchen backsplash, and mirrors. I also accompanied the homeowner to the granite fabricator to select the kitchen countertops.

In addition, I introduced architectural enhancements — such as a bulkhead with crown molding and trim to extend the upper kitchen cabinets to the ceiling, and wood paneling to transform an awkward half-bath corner into an intentional design feature.

These virtual mock-ups helped the homeowner confidently visualize each decision before construction began — ensuring a cohesive, intentional result throughout the home.

Home Staging

Selling a home is a stressful, emotional time. In many cases, we are unable to critically evaluate the best layout or styling of a room.

I help homeowners and real estate agents remove that uncertainty by creating spaces that appeal to the widest pool of buyers while highlighting a property’s strongest features.

My staging service combines practical design, decluttering, and targeted styling—furniture placement, lighting, color accents, and accessories to improve flow, enhance perceived space, and tell a cohesive story for each room.

The result is a polished, market-ready presentation that speeds showings, supports higher offers, and makes it easier for buyers to imagine themselves living there.

“Shannon’s visionary skills and ability to transform a room, or in our case, a big house, was a dream. We had become “house blind” but Shannon saw an outdated home that needed to be brought back to life. She completely transformed our game room into a BEAUTIFUL, welcoming room. We were awestruck to say the least.
She went room by room and transformed our home completely. She knew exactly what corner needed a lamp, which rooms needed area rugs, new curtains, updated seating area, artwork, pillows, etc. She moved furniture from one room to another, and suddenly, we had a showplace!!
The biggest change was our master bedroom, which she literally transformed from an awkwardly long, narrow room into a suite with an office area – all with repositioned furniture from other areas in the house.
We are 100% certain it was thanks to the talents of this dream team – our realtor’s expertise and personality along with Shannon’s visionary skills and ability to transform a room, or in our case, an entire four bedroom house – into a sellers and buyers dream. Our house sold in one week at asking price!!”
